Garden BirdWatch 30th Anniversary - Thetford Conference

Join us as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of BTO's Garden BirdWatch!

Event Description

Join us for a special in-person conference marking three decades of citizen science –where garden sightings have fuelled groundbreaking research, informed conservation action, and connected people to nature.

The conference will feature talks on the role of gardens in supporting wildlife populations, how the data collected by Garden BirdWatchers have been used to track declines, and how the survey has contributed to conservation action.

A lively panel discussion will also give attendees the chance to share their thoughts and experiences.
To round off the day, you’ll have the option to join a birding walk through the stunning reserve, where you can connect with the local birdlife and wildlife up close.

Don’t miss out—tickets are £10 per person, with a reduced rate of £7 for those on low income. You can also choose to add a donation to support the Survey. With a capacity of just 80 people, this intimate gathering promises to be a great day, full of learning, sharing, and celebrating the achievements of the Garden BirdWatch community.
