Kestrels for Company

The author has spent many years painstakingly studying the breeding success of Kestrels around the west of Scotland. As a ‘kestrel-addict’ he has also studied some of the Kestrel’s rarer cousins on Mauritius and Cape Verde Islands. This is a fascinating account of the lives, success and failures – and the causes – of our most familiar raptor and the threats to their continued success, some coming from surprising quarters.
